Proposed Building Contractors Association Agreement Ratified by Delegate Body

The Proposed Building Contractors Association Agreement was ratified by the delegate body last night in a controversial motion made last night by Joseph Nina. The controversy was surrounding the lack of a roll call vote for ratification of the contract. The motion to vote on the contract through a roll call vote was never made, however at previous delegate meetings there were at least two previous motions regarding this. One motion stated that any verbal vote that was too close to call shall automatically go to a roll call vote, the second motion stated that any motion regarding collective bargaining agreements shall automatically be a roll call vote. These motions were previously made, separately and approved at delegate meetings. Whether these prior motions will impact the ratification of the BCA agreement remains to be seen.
