2015 Annual NYC Labor Day Parade

The District Council will once again be marching and participating in the Annual NYC Labor Day Parade on Saturday, September 12th.  We encourage any Members willing to march with us to come out and help us stand for the strength of Union Labor in New York as we parade up 5th Avenue in Manhattan.

The meeting place will be on 46th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. Gathering will start at 8 AM and marching at 12:30 PM. The District Council will be providing food, refreshments, adult and children's t-shirts, and hats to wear.

2015 Annual Charity Softball Tournament

It's time again for the NYCDCC's Annual Charity Softball Tournament.  The Tournament and Family Picnic will be held:

Saturday, September 19th
Beginning at 9:30 am sharp!  
Cunningham Park, Fresh Meadows,
Queens NY, 11366

Join in a game or cheer on your Local Union’s team. We encourage you to bring your family to enjoy this fun day at the park. It is sure to be an exciting day as we witness who will gain bragging rights as the 2015 Softball Champion.

The first 16 teams to register will be eligible.  Sponsorship is $500.00 per team.  Please make checks payable to NYCDC Charity Fund.

Independence Day Observence 2015

MWA and Independent Shops shall observe Independence Day on Monday July 6th.

The Local 2790 office will be closed on Friday July 3rd 2015 in observence of the federal holiday and will be open on Monday July 6th, 2015.



HealthPlex Open Enrollment- March 1st - May 15th

Any members interested in enrolling in the HealthPlex dental plan as a new member, please call the local for enrollment forms.

Nominations for next months election will be held at tonight's meeting. In addition, a representative from AETNA will be present to answer any questions you may have about the new dental plan offered by the NYC District Council.

The District Council will be hosting the annual Softball Charity Tournament and Local 2790 would like to invite you to pass by our tent for a “members only” BBQ. We will be serving food and beverages to just Shop and Industrial Local 2790 members and family!
