March 2017 Membership Meeting of Local 2790


At our March 16th meeting, we will have our leadership Est Joseph Geiger, President Steve McInnis and Vice President Michael Cavanaugh to introduce the new benefits director Dave Stewart and the Hollow metal director Neil Sandy.

They will be here to talk to our members and answer any benefit questions our members may have.  All members are encouraged to attend.



                                                    300 Hitters 

The DC is now enrolling for the March session of the 300 Hitters! We have 180 spots to filled so please go out and find some people!  They need to fill out an application to be considered. The dates are from March 9th-12th, they must be journeymen and they must be in good standing to attend.

 Dear Brothers and Sisters:

*IMPORTANT*   You are hereby notified to attend our regular membership meeting of Local Union 2790 on Monday, November 28th, 2016, at 6pm, at 89-07 Atlantic Avenue Queens NY 11421, for a discussion on the approved payoff of our Travelers Insurance debt. Also, Local 2790 will be hosting our Annual Christmas party meeting on Monday December 19, 2016. Please join us for food, shirts and other giveaways!


Beginning January 1st, 2017, Local 2790 will be moving its meeting nights to the (3) Third Thursday of every month. The time will remain at 6PM.

Local 2790 is your 2016 Softball Tournament Champions! 

Congratualtions to Robert Villalta and Local 2790's softball team for taking home the trophy and the Championship!

Thank you to everyone that came on September 17th not only to help out, but to support the Local and cheer on the softball team. It was wonderful to see our members and their families together and having fun!

To the guys that were at the park at 6 am to help set up and the guys that stayed to the end to help clean up, its greatly appreciated. The day was a huge success! 

Local 2790 would also like to thank the non eboard  and non delegate members that helped out the entire day: Paul Pesce and his wife, Jack Mucaria, Alex Rosales' son Brandon and Mrs. Trojanowski. Also Sal Parlermo who came on Sunday to help unload the truck back at the Local. 

Thanks again for all the help and the great turn out! We look forward to next year!  



2016 Annual Softball Tournament & Picnic! 

It's time again for the NYCDCC's Annual Charity Softball Tournament. 

The Tournament and Family Picnic will be held:

Saturday, September 17th
Beginning at 9:30 am sharp!  
Cunningham Park, Fresh Meadows,
Queens NY, 11366

 Francis Lewis Blvd. and 73rd Avenue, Fresh Meadows, NY 11365 (One block north of Union Tpke)

Join in a game or cheer on your Local Union’s team. We encourage you to bring your family to enjoy this fun day at the park. It is sure to be an exciting day as we witness who will gain bragging rights as the 2016 Softball Champion.

Look for Local 2790's tent! 

The first 16 teams to register will be eligible.  Sponsorship is $500.00 per team.  Please make checks payable to NYCDC Charity Fund.
